On June 14, Soochow University MBA 2023 students, led by Ms. Wang Weisha, Distinguished Professor of Jiangsu Province and Deputy Director of MBA Center, went into Ming-Art Museum in Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Neighborhood of Suzhou Industrial Park, and started an in-depth learning journey intertwined with art and management.
A First Look at the Hall of Arts: The Beauty of Pastel Painting and Cultural Heritance
Led by curator Yang, the participants first visited the professional exhibition hall of the museum, where more than one hundred pastel paintings from domestic and foreign artists are displayed, each of which carries the artist's heart and creativity. Curator Yang not only introduced in detail the origin and artistic characteristics of pastel painting, but also shared the development status and trend of pastel painting at home and abroad, so that the participants had a deeper understanding and awareness of pastel painting as an art form.
Operation Wisdom Sharing: Cross-border Thinking from Design to Management
After the visit, Director Yang talked to the participants about the establishment process and operation mode of Ming Art Museum with his own experience in architectural design. He mentioned that the architectural design of the museum fully considered the needs of art display and audience experience, while the operation mode focused on diversification and internationalization, and built a cultural and art exchange platform with international influence by holding high-quality art exhibitions, academic research, education and training activities. The participants put forward their management suggestions in the light of the operation of the museum, such as how to use new media to enhance the visibility of the museum and how to optimize the audience experience, etc. Curator Yang had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the participants, and the atmosphere of the scene was warm and active.
After the discussion, Prof. Wang Weisha pointed out that this trip to Ming-Art Museum is a cross-border learning in the field of art and management. He hoped that the participants would integrate what they learned from this visit into their future business management practice, enhance their management level with cross-field thinking, and inject new vitality into the development of their enterprises.
Exploring the Live Streaming Room: A New Position for Art Communication
At the end of the event, curator Yang led the participants to the live streaming room of the art museum. Under the wave of digitization, art museums actively embrace new media, and through live broadcasting, art breaks through the spatial limitations and reaches more audiences. Curator Yang briefly introduced the daily operation of the live broadcasting room, including the planning of live broadcasting content, audience interaction, etc. The participants were interested in this new form of art communication. Participants were full of curiosity about this new form of art communication and actively asked questions and exchanged ideas, feeling the new possibilities of the integration of art and business.
This visit not only let Soochow University MBA Class 2023 students enjoy the charm of pastel art, but also broadened their horizons and inspired their thinking in the cross-border dialog between art and management.
